Fenix School Policies

Before taking Spanish classes with us we recommend that all students carefully read the following policies.

-Payments. All payments must be made on the first day of classes. Payment can be in cash, wire transfer, Zelle, Venmo or paypal.

-Cancellation. Cancellation of any class must be communicated by mail to our school. The school is not responsible for cancellations due to natural events, health and/or personal problems of the students, before or during the course.

*Classes can be cancelled or postponed with 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the class.

-Misconduct. If the student does not respect the rules of the school or behaves badly, the teachers may cancel the classes and the student will not be entitled to a refund of the payment.

-Our courses have no registration fee, but it is necessary to pay for the course on the first day of class. The material to be used in the classes will be provided by the teacher. If you wish to take an exam in your classes, it is necessary to communicate it from the first day. This test will measure your level of Spanish. It is only a placement test and has no official value.

-We are not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings on the premises.

-We are not responsible for accidents or illness of the student outside the facilities or in extracurricular activities.

-It is recommended to have personal insurance to cover accidents or illness during your stay in the city.

-If you are sick, the Spanish teachers can accompany you to the doctor. This in order to have a better attention.

-Documentation. We can provide a letterhead document for confirmation of enrollment in one of our programs: This document will be signed, stamped and sent to the persons who request it by email. We are not responsible for rejected applications, as these documents are not official and only serve to confirm participation in a course at our school. The documents will be sent to validate the time of the course initially contracted by the student.

The document will be sent by e-mail and free of charge to any student who requests it.

-The document will contain the following points:

-Name of the student, nationality and age.
-Confirmation of the Spanish program chosen by the student.

-Program of the course in which the student will participate.

-Cost of the program and confirmation letter in the case of accommodation. In no case are we responsible for visa refusal.

-In all cases the student will be obliged to send us a copy of the document reflecting the visa application.

-Credit and grading agreements are made with the schools and universities on an individual basis for each student. Students may choose to be graded on a scale of A, B, C, D, F, or PASS/FAIL. Each professor records each student's performance and class material. At the end of each week, an evaluation of their progress is recorded. A written summary of course work and individual achievements will be provided for any student applying for college credit.

-Photos and publicity material. Students may appear in publicity material. The publicity area reserves sole selection of material to be used for publicity. If the student prefers not to be, it is necessary to comment on the day of registration.

-We respect each student completely. We do NOT accept acts of discrimination by students towards their classmates or teachers.

-Data protection. The data provided by the student to the institution will be protected. That is to say, they will not be transferred to third parties except in cases where there is a legal obligation.
